Ukrainian drones struck the Kacha and Belbek military airfields in Russian-occupied Crimea on the night of 26 April 2026, sending explosions across multiple Sevastopol districts and killing at least one man near the city. Russia's Moscow-installed Sevastopol governor, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said 43 drones were shot down in total. "Unfortunately, there are fatalities," he wrote on his Telegram channel, confirming one man born in 1983 was killed inside a vehicle and three others were hospitalised.
Rail service on the Sevastopol–Inkerman-1 railway line was suspended following the strikes. Explosions were reported in Balaklava, Fiolent, Sapun Hill, the Bakhchysarai district, and several Sevastopol neighbourhoods, where a dance school and a number of homes sustained damage. Residents described hearing prolonged air-raid warnings through the night.
